Over the last two years, I’ve had the privilege of getting to know Nate Lewis, who has become a friend and a passionate ally in the fight against child trafficking. We first connected during the surge in public awareness sparked by the powerful film The Sound of Freedom. At the time, Nate was an executive at a leading global anti-trafficking organization. However, when scandal arose within the organization, Nate knew it was time to move on.

Shortly after our first interview, Nate introduced me to Jim Caviezel. Together, we had a profound and challenging conversation about the grim realities of child trafficking—within the U.S., internationally, and even in the realms of Hollywood and politics.

Now, Nate has taken his mission to the next level by founding The Innocent, an organization devoted to combating the epidemic of child exploitation. Through advanced training programs, The Innocent equips local law enforcement and investigators to intervene proactively, disrupt trafficking networks, and prevent online exploitation and abuse before they happen.

The Innocent stands out by providing its services at no cost to law enforcement, delivering justice, restoring hope, and ensuring the protection of children. The organization also empowers communities to actively support their local agencies through a grant process, making a tangible impact where it’s needed most.

This Giving Tuesday, join me in supporting this vital work. Together, we can make a difference in the lives of countless children.
