There has been a steady stream of people converting to Orthodoxy that I have observed since I became one in 1990, but the pace accelerated exponentially after 2020. I think this is because so many beliefs and institutions that people had long put their trust in were exposed as being fake or untrustworthy. This has caused people to reassess many things, and many, digging into Church history, are discovering Orthodoxy. I think a similar thing is going on with the conversions to Roman Catholicism, but I think these folks are barking up the wrong tree, and will come to see that for themselves.
