Purpose: To deepen our understanding of Jesus’ genealogy and birth as fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies, to show the purposes of God in scripture, and to explore their significance for our faith.
Interesting Note: While Luke writes the account of Christ’s birth from Mary’s perspective, Matthew is written from Joseph’s perspective.
