Earlier this year, an older friend of mine asked me a question about Mike Huckabee that I gave a pretty good —yet nonspecific answer to. But tonight, I read an article by JD Hall that answered my friends exact question so perfectly and so specifically in a recent article—that I wanted to write this now, before the details got foggy or somehow seemed less important tomorrow. You know how that goes.
So here I am, wandering the neighborhood, furiously typing into my phone. 😂

This summer, I was talking about Mike Huckabee with an older friend (around 70) who has known me for at least a few years now. He shares my Christian faith and values, he’s even asked me to help him with a local political campaign- so this is no stranger, there is some trust there. However, he really wrestles with my views on Zionism, 1948 Israel and modern Judaism—not because he’s an expert on these subjects (he isn’t), but because my conclusions fall completely outside the comfortable boundaries of polite conversation within his circles. These conclusions also directly contradict the American faith leaders he holds in the highest regard.
...this story is not an outlier, In the last three years, I’ve literally had hundreds of these discussions, almost all of them with baby boomers. And to be fair, there are maybe 10 of them who fully get it.
So he asked me a simple question:
“If you’re right about all this stuff about ‘the Jews,’ then how does Mike Huckabee have it so wrong?”
It was a sincere question. This man genuinely trusts Huckabee. He sees a man who has studied the Bible for decades longer than I have, stood publicly for “Christian conservative values,” and built a résumé that commands respect: minister, Fox News host, bestselling author, governor.
And like many Baby Boomers, he places a certain natural trust in accomplished, well-spoken men with large platforms. From that framework, it’s a perfectly reasonable question: Why should some guy like me have an opinion about Mike Huckabee that carries any weight at all?
My answer was fairly simple.
Huckabee is the product of several powerful forces working in tandem:
Decades of zionist theological formation through his seminary and pastoral culture.
a cultural zeitgeist heavily shaped by literally hundreds of post-WWII Hollywood Films and Holocaust Museums nearly all directed by Jewish enterprises.
A dual career in evangelical Christianity and Republican politics—two worlds that have long rewarded Huckabee’s particular views on Israel and Judaism while imposing significant costs on those who challenge them.
I fully believe my answer was correct, though admittedly not very specific to the Huckster.
My friend looked away. I could tell he wasn’t convinced—and probably didn’t want to be.
Anyway, I forgot about the conversation and moved on.
Tonight, however, I was listening to the audio version of JD Hall ’s recent article on the Noahide laws—their gradual promotion around the world and what their implementation ultimately mean for Christians, if the Jews get their way.
And this is why I’m literally walking around my neighborhood typing this on my phone:
About halfway through, J.D. went into considerable detail about Mike Huckabee specifically: how Huckabee opened himself to Talmudic and rabbinic influence and, over roughly 30 years, became not merely a naïve defender of Jewish mysticism but an active participant in advancing it.
And just FYI: when a Christian minister goes to the Ohel—the grave of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson—and participates in prayers there (it is directly explained to you that Schneerson is an intercessor between you and God), I believe we have moved well beyond simple naïveté or “being deceived.” At some point, a man becomes a participant in propagating the very thing deceiving him.
Read that again.
This is what is so difficult for the Baby Boomer Christian-Zionist class to confront. Some of their favorite religious and political leaders—the men who fought the culture wars, proclaimed Christ, and took arrows from “the Left”—have simultaneously promoted ideas and movements that many Christians would recognize as fundamentally incompatible with the Gospel if they actually examined them.
People willing to read, investigate, and follow uncomfortable facts to their logical conclusions will develop a dramatically clearer understanding of how the spiritual and geopolitical pieces all fit together.
But those who cannot bear to investigate—or cannot bear the implications of what they discover—will continue wondering why the world never quite behaves according to the framework they were given. Why did Donald Trump suddenly reverse course on Jeffrey Epstein? Why does Isis never attack Israel? Why does Israel keep accidentally bombing churches in Gaza? Why are we in a war with Iran over potential nukes, when the operation a year ago completely destroyed the potential for nukes. And on and on.
The information is out there for anyone willing to examine it.
The real question is whether people are willing to investigate these topics honestly, accept the evidence they find, endure the discomfort of following the evidence to its logical conclusions, and ultimately begin navigating the world through a more accurate lens.

Thankfully, I’m generation Jones (😜) but I grew up in the Evangelical churches of the south. I was red-pilled about 15 years ago on this subject matter and I can’t get over it. I struggle with how to articulate my findings with Boomers and the influenced Gen Xers that are in my immediate vicinity. I have always been an opened minded person and a huge history buff. But, I find myself being an outsider, in my ecosystem, with my revised beliefs but I have to believe this is my calling. JD is super-solid with his assessments.
Excellent article, Jeremy🙌. I am a “Boomer” who understands where you are coming from. I agree that people need to read and investigate (I.e. become a Berean) so as not to be deceived. Thank you for your due diligence, and keep up the good work!
